Repair tracking software for service centres: the ServiceCenterSoft case
How a subscription web app was built in which every service centre gets its own app site and a separate database.

ServiceCenterSoft is RandomStar’s own product: repair tracking software for service centres and workshops. It runs in the browser and is sold by subscription.
The task
A workshop has to accept devices, track repair statuses, count spare parts and technicians’ earnings and print receipts. Excel sheets soon stop being enough, while a big CRM is too expensive and complex. The goal was simple software a workshop gets ready to use within minutes.
What was built
- Software for the workshop. Receipts, statuses, estimates for approval, stock with balances and suppliers, technicians’ earnings and payouts, income and profit reports.
- Customer notifications in Telegram — instead of paid SMS.
- A separate site for every customer. A workshop gets its own address and its own database; the trial lasts 14 days.
- Billing. Invoices with a card payment link via WayForPay, bank transfers, acts, electronic signing of documents.
- A product site in four languages and a demo open without registration.

How it works
- One codebase, many customers. The software has a single core, while each workshop’s data lives in a separate database: customers never see each other, and an update is rolled out to everyone with one command.
- A new customer needs no manual work. A wizard in the admin panel creates the address, the security certificate, the database and a copy of the software.
- Payment controls access. If the subscription is unpaid, the software first reminds, then restricts work; after payment everything reopens by itself.
- The demo is always clean. Demo data is reset to its initial state every night.
- A phone is a full screen. The software and the admin panel are checked at smartphone width.

The result
The product runs at servicecentersoft.com with real customers and payments. Its admin panel, billing, emails and backups became the base of other RandomStar projects — including this site.
